ITNOW Summer 2015 edition features Technology in Sport

The Summer 2015 edition (57.2) of ITNOW, the magazine for IT professionals from the BCS, features four articles on sport information and analytics, two from analysts working in SIA professional sports and two looking at how amateur athletes can use technology and everyday information to enhance their sporting experiences and performances.

  • Will Jones, Senior Performance Analyst at football analysis company Prozone, speaks to editor Henry Tucker about how Prozone software contributes to Football (Soccer) analytics and performance enhancement. (doi: 10.1093/itnow/bwv033)
  • Bill Jinks from IBM discusses his work in tennis, rugby and golf. (doi: 10.1093/itnow/bwv034)
  • Tom Denwood examines the rise of cycling applications, and health and well-being tracking in general. (doi: 10.1093/itnow/bwv035)
  • Henry Tucker shares his experiences using technology to help him improve as a runner. (doi: 10.1093/itnow/bwv036)

ITNOW is available to BCS members from the membership area or to subscribers via Oxford Journals.  I’ve added references to all four articles to the Zotero group library.
